Well it looks like I'm the next victim, my engine gave out on the way home from work. The ironic part....it was my first day working for FORD

Classic symptoms of bearing/crank related failure. I'm going to drop the oil pan at some point this weekend in the hopes that this was some sort of fluke (yeah right). If it isn't, I don't plan on fixing the motor, I think I'm just going to sell the car with blown engine and part out my mods. Beyond the fact that this could cost anywhere from $1-2k to fix (if not more), and the fact that I'm working 12-14 hr days, it just doesn't make sense to fix it considering blue book value. Add in the cost of someone doing it for me since I don't have the time and you're talking prices in the $4k range.....

I'd figure I'd let you guys know first to let you know that I'll be putting up a classified ad to sell my mods (and SVT for that matter) in the next coming days, so keep your eyes peeled. For those of you that know what mods I have, feel free to make offers via PM. For those that don't, I won't post them here since this isn't the right place, you'll just have to check the classifieds. Local buyers will have preference when it comes to buying most mods since shipping will be prohibitive and costly with some of my mods.

It was a great car while it lasted, not quite sure what direction I'm going to go in regards to a new car. I'm going to look at purchasing or leasing a Ford (A-Plan) and I'm leaning towards an SVT Focus, Explorer, or Mazda 6s. I'll update this once I test drive these cars and get some numbers from the dealers.

Even if the SVT is dead, I'll still be hanging around and I will also continue to make shift and ebrake boots as long as there is demand. Hell, maybe I'll only be shifting from one SVT product to another....

Well that plain sucks to hear. Hope it works out for you though. I also hope you continue to make the shifter boots if you have the time in your busy schedule. They are a top quality product. Good luck.
