My brother sent this my way...

Toyota of Des Moines
2nd Annual
Grillz-n-Thrills Car Show and NASCAR Event

Our first ever all Import car show last year drew a crowd of over 2500 people to see customized vehicles on display and our first ever NASCAR event drew a crowd in excess of 1000 people to watch the Daytona 500.

This year on Sunday, August 17th we are going to combine the two at the Val-Air Ballroom in West Des Moines. With over 8 acres of parking we are now able to open the car show up to Domestic and Import vehicles with many different classes from Exotics to Trucks. Inside we can accommodate up to 2000 people to watch the Michigan 400 live on the largest big screen available in the state of Iowa. We are installing state of the art equipment for television and audio including (2) 10â??x 14â?? and (2) 7x10â?? screens. We will once again have hundreds of prizes to give away at each commercial break including the Grand Prize of a 4 day Caribbean Cruise for two. The car show award ceremony will be held directly after the race. Entry fee for vehicles is $25.00 and includes tickets in the reserved section at the NASCAR event. Trophies will be awarded for the top two vehicles in each class as well as a great prize and trophy for best of show. The car show is free to the public. Tickets for the NASCAR event inside the ballroom will be available in advance for $4.00 per person at Toyota of Des Moines and will be sold for $5.00 each at the door. Children under 10 get in free. We will once again offer the coveted VIP tables with the best viewing area and all the amenities. The VIP tables will be sold for $100.00 for a table of four. We will limit the number of tables sold once again this year to ensure that those people feel the special treatment they deserve.

We received approval from the City of West Des Moines for a parade of all the vehicles in the car show from 35th and EP True to the Val Air Ballroom the morning of the event. This should be an extremely popular parade as it would be the first that I am aware of that includes none of the normal advertising, cars and co-sponsor vehicles only! Candy will be provided to all of the drivers to throw out for the kids and we will have people distributing flyers along the parade route that will invite everyone to the event.

We are proud to announce that Wilkâ??s broadcasting, home of KGGO, HAWK, and The RIVER radio stations have come on board as a co-sponsor and all 4 of their stations will be broadcasting live during from the Val-Air during the event. They have also assisted with the Grand Prize Drawing of a 4 day Caribbean Cruise with a $300.00 air fare voucher. The entire event will be geared towards family involvement with activities for children of all ages such as Linked Video Race Machines and a mini carnival complete with a giant slide, bounce house, Safari train, and a remote controlled 4X4 truck racing track, games, clowns, and face painting.

Wheelyâ??s Catering will offer hotdogs, hamburgers, and pork sandwiches for purchase both inside and out during the event. Val-Air Ballroom will accommodate everyoneâ??s thirst with 3 full service bar areas.

Sincerely,

Bradley J Lillie

I wonder if they'll let me tow my car through the parade?! LOL Let me know if you guys come to town so we can get together. Brad isn't too far from there either.

Hmmm, can we say steaks at Brads again! I bet Matt won't be up for that though after last times fallout.

Yeah, not far at all... especially the parade starting point at one block away!!! I could pee on 35th and EP True from my back yard practically. Everyone avoid the yellow candy.

Although Matt was owned, I redeemed Nebraska for us. That three pounds (probably less than two cooked) went down real easily. Not as good as Nebraska beef though.

Yeah, I believe you now, after seeing how you guys tenderize the beef over there... tipping over a semi-truck load full of cows on the interstate at 65 MPH can be costly, but ummmmmmmmmmmm, the juicy steaks!!!
