About a week ago my system died. The HU works fine, but the amps won't turn on.

Well after 7 days of waiting fo rdivine intervention, I went to radio shck and bought a digital multimeter.

I did some testing at my amps and the remote turn on wire shows 12.9V, but the power wire shows less than 1V. Could this be the problem? I tested the same power wire under the hood after the fuse and it shows 12.9V.

My question is: do you guys think that the power wire is the culperate? It is 4 guage from KnuKonceptz and has worked fine for more than a year. I can't understand why it would suddenly stop working. Does it sound like the wire has a short?

Possibility:

The wire got cut into some where after the fuse and is grounding out against the chassis.

Rip up your power wire and inspect it see if there is anything obvious...if you find something get some electrical tape and tape it up, then make sure the obstruction that punctured it before, will not puncture it again.

Did you check your fuses?

Nothing to do with the problem but:
FYI:make sure your ground is at least 12 inches or shorter!

PM me for any help.
