OP Rambytes_dup1 New CEG\'er R Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 37	This is my question. Whe call my Ford dealer to got the system to disable the air bag system. You asking why? Because my girlfriend is a small person... Here in Quebec, whe need a certificate from the government to disable the air bag by the dealer. And whe got the certificate. But the "switch" to disable the air bag is no more available for my car (Contour 1995 GL 4cyl 2L) BUT, the dealer tell me to remove the fuse of the air bag. But the light is always on in the dash. I DON'T want to cut any wire, but i'm asking if there is a easy solution to just remove the light itself? Where I can find easy diagram of the wire in the dash to remove the good light or cut the good wire (if no other solution exist) The problem is my girlfriend she in a "group" of people that she need to advance the seat at the maximum, abd she have the steering wheel in the chest, and if the air bag open, she can be killed (this is no joke). From the government, a person must be at a distance of 25cm from the middle of the chest to the steering wheel... below that is too dangerous. My girlfriend is at 9cm... Thanks!

JasonL CEG\'er J Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 67 Clearfield, PA	Tell a Ford dealer you want to buy the air bag simulator.(there isn't much to it so it shouldn't cost much) Tell them you want it for diagnostics because you are getting a passanger airbag code. If they can or will sell you the simulator all you have to do is unplug the airbag and plug in the simulator. It is a small pencil shaped tool that makes the restraint control module think that there's a good airbag there and you could just leave it behind your glove box and if you ever dump that girl and find a BIG one you could unplug the simulator and plug the airbag back in.
