need some help. limped in to work my midnight shift. battery light started flashing. first the tach went nuts, then stopped working, then the radio stopped. the engine started running hot, and i started to lose my lights.
i think it's just the battery, could it be anything else?
my CEL has been on for a while, but i already know that it's an O2 problem. i just had a new WP put in about 3 months ago.

any hints as to the problem?

Have your alternator checked.

I concur. I had this exact same thing happen to me when I was driving my tempo.

lucky for me it was just the belt

yep. tried to start it up again this morning...click, click, click. had to get it boosted by my old man. made it from university/gerrard to kennedy/progress (g/f's work). boosted it again, made it around the corner to midland just north of progress. had to call the old man again, who had made it to pickering by now, had him turn around and meet me so i could use his CAA to get a tow. what a night/morning. finally getting to bed!

anywhere i can get an alternator for a decent price in toronto?
