are the rca's ran with the power wires, that could be the cause of the buzzing

Did you hook up the turn-on lead?
The buzzing is most likely caused by a bad ground or running the patch cables too close to the power wire. Also, turn your gain down.

everything is hooked up right, i have no idea why it wont work, only thing i can think of is maybe a bad power cable but it looks fine to me

where do you work/live? thanks but i have work tomorrow-thursday 1:30-9 each day..I'm off Friday and Saturday if you'd be willing to take a look at it then

Yes, but did you hook up a remote turn-on lead? You've made no mention of it when discussing your cables. The amp needs the following:
1 - unswitched power source from battery (your 8 GA cable) 2 - ground (GA should match power cable 3 - remote turn-on lead (switched power source from head unit, tells the amp when to turn on) 4 - signal (your patch cables) 5 - connection to speakers that are being amplified

I was callin it the power lead wire  im dumb, lol. and it cant be the power cable because its brand new..the rca cable im usin is old and looks kinda cheap so im thinkin that could be the problem

Well I got it to work..Instead of having my subs hooked up to 'output' on the amp I hooked the subs up to the 'bridge' part of my amp. thanks for the replies
