You've stripped the threads. A good shop can install a heli-coil, I've seen it done a hundred times in aluminum heads in motorcycles and also in aluminum heads in cars/trucks. In fact it's fairly often done in my other Ford, a V-10. Plugs blowing out of the heads has been a constant problem in the V-10's. I would try this before I paid for a new head, even though some dealers will tell you you have to buy a head, they're normally fixed with a heli-coil. Ken 99 Silver Frost SE Zetec Atx
