the 02 sensor on the upper end on a zetec? what tool, and where can i find one? i think i need a new one, since my cel light just came back on after a two month hiatus after the first time it came on and i got it scanned. also, how often does one need to clean the maf on these cars? i have 105K on it (still original timing belt ;o)

Ummmmmm.......very carefully. If you go to any autoparts store, they will have an O2 sensor socket. If you are sure this is no good, buy a new one. Have it handy cause you might break the old one getting it out. I did this to my '93 Mustang and broke the sensor taking it off.

Remember to disconnect the battery before working with any sensors on your car.

I don't remember if there was any prep that had to be done prior to putting the new O2 sensor in.

Make sure, as well, that you don't cross-thread the sensor as it goes back in.

Once you have the O2 Sensor socket it's easy as pie. I changed it out in the Autozone parking lot in less than 10 minutes.

I'd recommend not going to the dealer to get one; they'll charge you about $120+ for it, when you can get a Bosch for about $70.
