the 2 or 3 bolt flange depends on what year Contour and what transmission you have. The following is off of ctamotorsports.com. All Cougars may have 3 bolts only.
NOTE: Please specify your transmission type/ year/ and either 2- or 3-bolt cat converter inlet flange when ordering. The 3-bolt converter flange is usually on all automatics. Most vehicles produced after Nov. '99 came with the 3 bolt style, and is most noticeable by the large flex connector just past the first flange. 2-bolt styles used a donut gasket without the flex joint.

but like the previous two replies, they're junk. stay away from 'em.
THEY ARE NOT A BOLT ON!!!
They are a blatant (or very poor quality) copy of MSDS's 02+ Cougar headers & Y-pipe.
The EGR tube is in a different position as are the 3 O2 sensor bungs. Yes I said 3.
The rear O2 bung must be plugged and 2 others added in the normal spots.
The EGR tube requires a skilled welder to fix! Possibly changing to the new Cougar EGR tube would work, but then you may have to change the EGR as well??? Time & $$$
IIRC the 2 main O2's will fit without having to alter the harness.
BTW - they are made from very thin wall cheap stainless and I would not place their longevity very high. (fatigue cracks from heat cycling comes to mind!)
