For goodness sake, don't post anything in OT or Pics and Vids, then. There are some people who've nothing better to do than police the reposts.

Congratulations on having a life.

Also from an earlier thread, you can just about make anything fit if you want to bad enough and have enough money to spend. On that earlier thread someone posted pictures of a Focus with a Cobra 4.6 V8 DOHC installed.

Of course, it was no longer a front wheel drive car. Also there wasn't much room for the driver's feet.

Back in the late 60's there was a Chevelle running around Bakersfield with a World War II era Allison V12 aircraft engine installed. It took up so much room that the driver had to sit where the back seat used to be.

So if you really want to stuff a V8 under the hood of your Contour, go right ahead. Just don't complain when you find that you need to cut the left fender open for the extra 6" that you will need.

Maybe you could find room for the extra two cylinders in the trunk.

The people who beat us up with the screaming "search" term are those who need to sell their Contours and move onto something else. They've become bored in life because they've "been there, done that" and haven't figured out that they need to move onto new challenges.

The only way I agree that you should do a good amount of searching first is that you will often trip across other good information in the process that you haven't considered yet.

Heaven forbid he didn't search... why do you guys even bother looking at the post if you already know by looking at the title that you don't need to? No one is forcing you to read every post here, let alone post a reply. Wow, so you already know why the V8 won't fit. Some of us don't and rather than read what all you guys have said in the past, I'd like to talk with those of us who haven't touched on the subject. No need for you flamers to even click on the title, now be gone.

heh... why would people search???

for 1 if everyone just started searching, website would be pointless cause i am sure just about everyting has been covered so we dont need any new posts..

for two. when you search you have to read all the crap people complain and wine about (people not searching) and takes 10 times as long to find out what you want to find out. so
