Went to start my car this morning, and it made a clicking sound, then it eventually started. When it did start there was some hesitation. My CEL is on, with a bank 1 sensor 1 problem, and running lean. Any input on the problem would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well I'd start with checking and cleaning the battery terminals before I would consider a bad starter. Useful side effect is the CEL light will go out, giving you time to think about oxygen sensor shopping.

Well I found out it is the starter that needs to be replaced. Any tips on replacing it?

I've got a good used starter for sale if you're interested. I'd take $75 for it plus a little shipping. New one from ford is over $120. Replacing it isn't too bad of a job. It sits directly on top of the transmission housing under the throttle body area on your intake. Should take an hour +/- to change out if you are mechanically inclined.

Thanks for the starter, but I got a discount through a friend for one. Actually that same friend is going to do the job for me, he's a mechanic at a pontiac dealer so I guess it shouldn't take long.
