When I park on even a slight incline the radiator check fluid light comes on. I check the overflow and it is up to the max mark. Why does it do this? It doen't have anything to do with the water pump does it?

PS Temp gauge is reading normal and heater works.

I keep my coolant level about 1/2" above the MAX line to keep that from happening. Sounds weird to fill over the MAX but it works!

add fluid til its 1/2" - 1" above the max level. it's a common problem.

Somewhere in these forums I've read that if the coolant level is 1/2" to 3/4" above the max mark then the light will stay out. Some seem to be sensitive that way. The level in mine is about 3/4" above and everything is okay.
