While checking out the trunk in my new contour, I noticed a hole, about 5-6" in diameter on the passenger side of the rear deck. There is not a matching hole on the driver side. Has anyone used this to mount a sub before? Comments on how that worked out?

I don't think that has ever been done!

DAMN!!! I never thought of that either!! TRY A SEARCH. Were just messing with you, yes many have done it, most have enlarged the hole for a 8" sub either mounted free air or in a sealed box mounted against the rear deck. I have a sealed box 8" setup and I love it. Not exactly shaking the seats bass but it provides the perfect amount of bass for a well ballanced system. You'll also want to cut the insulation away from the rear deck carpet where the sub goes so that it can breath. enjoy.
