I was having a problem before... http://www.contour.org/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=007238

...where my engine would crank, but I was getting no spark or readout from the computer on the AutoXray OBD scanner ("Engine not responding").

So I replaced the computer with another factory reman'd PCM (same code XXY7). Still nothing. I then replaced the coil pack (and verified correct wire-to-terminal configuration). Still nothing.

So what's next? Ignition Control Module?
This is kinda out in left field, but let me ask this to the almighty ones... Does my engine have a Crank Position Sensor?

I'm running out of ideas here... I'm gonna go up to the part store and buy me one o' dem dere books that has the electrical breakouts and numbers for my car. Hopefully between me and my mechanic we can trace the problem. But as always, wanted to check with the regulars here first.

I love my Contour to death, but my 'vette is still my #1 baby.
There's money to be made in racing. I should know. I put a lot of it there.
You can make a small fortune in racing. Start with a large one.

If it has one it should be located to the right of crank pulley.
Reading your recent topic and this one however, it seems you've started to replace without first finding problem, which could in fact be broken wire. Might be wise to pay a dealer to have a crack at diagnosis, before replacing anything else.
