is there any place that sells the 3'' intake tube only with out the filter?

Yup AutoZone, you will have to do some fabrication, but it will work

yup, thats what i used, the civic intake tube, hacked it, and got a hose clamp thing or something rubber some weird vent crap my dad got, but looked good. worked great.

of course it didn't look 'as good' but it functioned the exact same way.. im not retarded, thats why i go to college.... i know things about air flow and other such factors of heat and stuff, and chemical compounds, gasses.. things like that.. it worked the same, no 'accordian' tube.

After 3 hours of getting very angry, i finally got mine to work. I picked up 3 of those intake adapter things from autozone. I had to cut a piece of pipe to make it short enough to clear the hood, then i had to cut another pipe to make sure the air filter didnt go past the fender. And it looks ugly until i get some black 1200* ceramic paint on all of it, then i think it will look good. But wow, w/o the throttle body cover, its so much louder.

Don't work the same way...I have played with some different "intake" ideas and CTA just gave better sound, throttle response.

throttle response can be gained by adjusting the slack in the cable
