I am looking into getting a replacement steering wheel for my SVT. I found one that I want but it does not show being compatible for the Contour. Does anyone know of another model/year car/SUV/Truck that will work the same for the Contour? Meaning, if I bought a wheel that did not list the Contour for compatibility, is there another make and model vehicle that I can use as a match to make sure it will work for my car? Or should I simply just keep looking until I find one that is made for it?
I have done a search and the only thing related was one guy asking how to install one, then everyone talked him out of it by mentioning the safety of the airbag. This has been considered and thought of. So don't bother preaching to me about that. Also found a FAQ that tells how to remove the Airbag so given that and the installation kit, I assume that I can figure out how to install the thing.
Thanks.

If i'm not mistaken the Focus steering wheel will fit. You may have to buy the airbag as well since none of the Focus steering wheels came in Midnight Blue and it would look kinda weird having two different colors.

Ok.
But what about aftermarket wheels? The ones you can buy offline, or in a parts store? Momo, Sparco, APC, etc.?
Will any of those work? If they aren't made for a contour, then what kind of car can I buy one for that will still fit the Contour? I am thinking of just buying the closest one I can get and customizing it (safely and smartly of course) It it doesn't work, then it's back to stock.
INPUT!

Well, first realize that with those aftermarket steering wheels, you can't use an airbag. You won't find many people with those steering wheels, only true race cars, purely track. I wouldn't recommend it. But if you really want it, i know that some momo wheels fit, try sounddomain.com

Any aftermarket wheel will work. Grant/Momo/Sparco/APC etc. Its just finding the hub adapter for it. I used a grant hub kit for a 90 mustang. It had to be fabricated a little, but the wheel is on and not going anywhere. I think "momo" sells a kit, but its like $80.00 I personally didnt want to spend $250.00 (for the wheel and momo hub kit) Sooo.. I was cheap and just used the $15.00 grant kit.
