1st of all, the Wheels of Grand Haven car show is our next scheduled club event, taking place Sunday July 13th in Grand Haven. Unfortunately, due to the dismal attendance at our last THREE events we are no longer officially planning to attend this car show. I'll be in the northern part of the state so I won't be there...if anyone else wants to rally the troops for this event please feel free to do so.

This lack of support is also effecting some pretty serious changes in the club...I won't get into details here as I've updated the club website with all the current news and information. In short, the attendance for our past three events has been almost non-existant and the future of the club is very uncertain to say the very least. No support from the area enthusiasts = no special events or worse yet, no more club. Personally, I'm not interested in putting in the effort for this club if nobody wants to participate. Myself, Greg and Steve are still interested in keeping this club going, but without some support from area enthusiasts the club will be dead by the end of the summer.

Please go to the SVT/SHO Society website and read all the current news and information, and please post your feedback! We've also opened up our club email list, ANYONE can now join, information on how to join is listed on the main page of the club website. Join the email list, email myself or any of the other board members. Let us know where we should go from here....

I know you guys made a decision on this already, but you may wanna put this post in the E Great Lakes section. I don't think too many people were pissed about your decision because of the lack of interest over here, although we have soooo many Tours over here. I don't know how to reach these guys with what the club is all about. The first thing the club ISN'T about is its not a gang C.C. like other you see, thats the first thing. Theres alot of C.C's but they're really not true enthusists, like we are, they seem to be more about one thing or another, whether its car stereos w/ BASS, parties, etc. I'd like to suggest one last effort over here by attending the re-sceduled meet on July 20th on Belle Isle. This gives the new CEG-ers over here a chance to see what the club is all about, meet the "core" members, discuss the future, etc. I think some open conversations between everyone will atleast show where everyone and everything stands about making the club work for all of us. What has happened to all the members, like the guy w/ the Z06, those V8 SHO guys, etc, I just don't get it

Hey I sure appreciate the good words Rog, and I'd like to do something on the east side again. The reason I didn't post this in the east forum though is that I'm trying to reach the enthusiasts who are out HERE, and there are a LOT of them. I know there are tons of 'tours on the east side but we need more local involvement...the east siders don't want to drive west all the time and that's understandable; it's pretty much the same reasons why we decided not to work so hard on the east side; it just seems to be more hassle than it's worth.

I don't know about the July 20th meet...the national SHO convention is that weekend and there will be quite a few locals and even more east side SHO folk in Madison WI for the weekend. We are still planning to hook up with Tri-State SHO/SVT for their meet in Maumee bay Ohio...that's kinda east side We're also looking to go to the Birch Run Show, that is if we still have a club at that point
