You should be able to camp on the fair grounds, provided it isn't all filled up. I've gotten campsites there on the few occasions I've tried without reservations. I did reserve one this year though.

awesome. my svt will be in the shop for 2 weeks but i'm taking my mom's 98 explorer sport, if u guys dont mind. i still want to go, i will absolutely chip in my share for the tent (and i'm going for one day, maybe into sunday for 2 days but i dont have anywhere to stay).
stupid question. did the 30 bucks preregistered cover just me or me and a guest. if so, i'll bring a friend for the ride.
...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.

IS ANYONE CREATIVE ????
Does anyone feel creative enough to make a C.E.G. banner to hang from the tent ?? I'm thinking something made from fabric , or something tough , so that if it gets windy it won't tear like a paper banner would .
Just brainstorming ...
