Has any one ever replaced an o2 sensor in their car yet? i went to my dealer ship and i told them that i thought my o2 sensor might be out because i had a test done at autozone and they asked me if it was the left or right side and i was like huh. lol i thought it only had one. well i was just wondering on how much they cost i think he said something about 115 or some thing but thats not including on the labor or any thing. but well i was just wondering how hard it would be to change it if i would have bought it. i have a 2.5, v6, durtech so give me some feed back.

1995 V6 has 2 O2 sensors.

1996+ V6 has 4 O2 sensors.

Sensors cost around $60-70 each.

If you search the boards, you will find plenty of posts on this topic.

It is very likely that all you need is to clean your Throttle Body (TB). Search on this site to find out how easy it really is to do it yourself & save a bunch of money.

I also have a 99 SE with a V-6 & AutoZone told me to replace O2 sensors. They were full of it. Cleaned my TB & everything was cool.

Did they tell you what the code numbers were? Find out, then do a search for the P0402, or whatever number they give you & you'll lean a bunch about your car & how to maintain it yourself. Again, you'll save lots of money. We can even teach you easy ways to reset your CEL.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
