It is 2 oz (1/2 bottle) of Ford Friction Modifier added to Mercon spec automatic transmission fluid. Most prefer to use Mobil 1 ATF which meets Mercon specs. If you have an early car, the total quantity of fluid is 2.7 quarts including the friction modifier. If the car is a late 1999 or 2000 it may only need a total of 2.2 quarts.
It is easiest to add the friction modifier to the trans first and then fill the rest of the way with ATF.
An alternative to the Mobil 1 "cocktail" is to use the Chrysler spec ATF+3 which already has a higher level of friction modifier. You may have a hard time finding it available as a synthetic product though if that matters to you. I use the Chrysler fluid because it is less expensive, works as well, and I'm not so proud of the high cost that I'm reluctant to change it often. I still change it every 30,000 miles for less than $6.00.
