if you plan to autocross it, an ITR would be a great starting point, stock limited slip, its basically a factory race car. For daily driving they are a bit harsh, and loud because all of the sound deadening material was stripped for weight savings. I have seen 4 or 5 SVT's in my life, and only 2 real type R's. remove the badges and it would be a good sleeper, no way to tell what it is beside the 5 lug wheels.
Now, if you want a more civilized car, an integra GSR can be bought for cheaper and the extra money can be had for mods, forced induction, suspension, etc. once you have spent the same ammount of money on a GSR as you would the stock type-r, you'd have a faster car.
