With my old Axis 7s on H&Rs with stock struts, I was about 3/8" away from rubbing the spring perch.
The offset on them was 45 and 215/35 tires.
It all depend on the size of the tire and the offset of the wheel and also the width of the wheel.

weren't the axis 7's 19 by 8. it must be the offset that made them fit perhaps.

I run 19" on 215/35ZR19 and the offset is 45 but if i remember the best offset would be like 40mm?
I run them on ST200 struts with H&R springs 1.75" drop but it rubbed a bit, i had to rolled up the rear fender and now it's o.k, i gues if you go with the right offset may be it'll be o.k.
I say go for it, if they rub, you just have to roll the fenders up and they'll fit perfect ! just be carefull at the boddy and paint if you do it...
