OK. This is not about our Contour, but could someone help me?
I am doing a headgasket replacement for the first time on this pushrod engine so it should be easy, Right?
I reached the point of loosening the headbolts and there are three 15mm bolts which will not loosen - I have broken 2 - 15 mm sockets trying. What is the next thing to try? An impact socket?
btw - with 105,000 miles I am amazed how much crud there is on the intake manifolds,etc. The EGR valve was gooped up as well.
I guess that why people are always taking about cleaning the intakes'.
