First of all, I have dial-up (i know, it sucks)

After being on the net for awhile, every time I click on a link or start a new web page, it will take forever to find the page, or will usually say "page cannot be found". No matter what site it is.

My homepage is CEG, but it wont even load that, even though I was just surfing here. Its like my computer forgot how to function. Disconnecting then reconnecting to the net wont help, I can only surf again if I reboot. I used regclean, which has fixed all kinds of other problems I have had in the past, but it doesnt help this problem.

Any ideas??

What ISP is it? This happens sometimes with DNS server. Basicaly the DNS convert your input (www.....) to the ip address of the website/server. Sometimes the server is busy and the browser either times out or the DNS server sends a false signal. I don't know of any way to fix this problem. Seems that this happens on my DSL, but only lasts a few seconds.

History and cache files have been erased many times.
My HD is 1/3 full, plenty of space left.
I just installed a new modem a few months ago.

The browser timing out seems probable. I dont know much about troubleshooting computer problems.

I guess I will just have to deal with it, not a big problem, at least I can get on the net. I just cant let it sit very long
Thanks guys for the input.
