Would it be possible to lower the svt and fit 18's on it? i dont have an svt(yet) and it will probably be the first car i own because im obsessed with it.

I was also wondering about my dad's tour (99 SE). It has about 105k miles and almost all of them are highway miles. I was wondering how long/how many miles will the engine last before i need a huge repair.

On another note, i was just cruisin last night in it and it seems like the tour has alot of torque in lower rpm's but when it hits like 55-60 it dies down... just an observation but i was wondering how i can get higher rpm torque

Sounds to me like the secondaries are not opening, a common problem. A 'Tour should have pretty low torque on the bottom and the high torque should kick in in 3rd gear.

Do a search on "Secondaries", you should find what you need, if that's the problem.

I don't remember zetecs having secondaries....

Um, I would look at redoing the heads for more airflow up high and low but that can get pricey. Maybe just an intake and a chip would do wonders and would cost a lot less than a new head and stuff. Hope that helps!

Oh, but if you do intake and a chip you should really do an exhaust system. Doesn't have to be anything special, just one low back pressure muffler should do fine: magnaflow, vibrant, even Walker.

Ah-ah.

My bad. I saw the SE and assumed it was a Duratec. Didn't catch the I4.
