My all time favorite movie was "2001 - A Space Odessey". Yeah, I know it came out in '69, so I'm dating myself. I first saw it in the original Cinerama presentation, which was a three dimensional process where the movie was projected onto a curved screen from three projectors at once. The sound was also broadcast in surround stereo, which was a novelty back then. I never thought I'd say a "G rated" movie would be my favorite, but I saw it in the theaters three times, bought the VHS tape twice, and finally got it on DVD.

Well I'm still only 16... ...but I do recall Uncle Buck. That was a great movie. Too bad he died. The Last Dragon was kinda cool for its time. Nothin' like catching bullets in your teeth.

If we're gonna go with a comedy (especially with John Candy), I hafta say Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I was actually in pain from laughing so hard after the first time I saw that movie. As far as all time favorite(s), especially from my formative years, absolutely GOTTA go with Star Wars (particularly Empire Strikes Back). My parents and I went to see it at the drive-in when it first came out. I called the Lightsabres "Dangerous Flashlights". I think I was about 4 years old?... I may be dating myself as well, but not so bad as 2001: Space odyssey..DAMN! might as well have said "The Entertainer". -Tavis

I vaguely remember a movie called the Peanut Butter Solution.
I only saw it once but this kid gets scared and his hair falls out and he makes this stuff that makes his hair grow and gets kidnapped by people that make paintbrushes or something like that.
I am going to have to see if I can buy that movie.
Of course BIG was awesome too. Josh Baskin was funny as hell.

I'm still a kid but I'd have to say a tie between Mel Gibson's "Mad Max" and the sequel "The Roadwarrior". There's nothing like aussie's in souped up car's driving around killing others for "petrol" while battling against humongus(sp?). Humongus the tough guy strangely wears who looks like a costume from a bondage film and a hockey mask. Gotta love low budget films. and.... ...this movie was great, great, great! I think i'll try and find this movie...I wonder how many stores I'd have to call to find "the peanut butter solution".
