I just spent about $125.00 and 2 1/2 days (becuase of work) replacing my fuel pump and screen becuase of all these problems that irise becuase of hot weather. just to find out my problem was only solved for about an hour and a half.

So I decided to see if there was a relay or something for the fuel pump. Sure enough theres one in the fuse box under the hood. Being a holiday, all the auto parts stores were closed so I switched the relays for my fuel pump and the horn. So far the problem hasn't returned. I drove around for about another hour and she ran pretty smooth.

I'll try to keep you guys posted if anything else happens.

Wow! I knew there was something wrong when I thought I was right.

So, how does the horn act now?

Very intersted to see if your problem returned or not. Was your fuel pump screen obstructed at all? Just curious, Thanks

I just wanted to ask whether your problem ever came back. After driving my car for a week with the check engine light on, I had Auto Zone to read my code. They said it was reading too lean and was not within manufacturing controls for fuel air metering(they failed to note the code number). Now driving the car today it finally died, just like before for no reason. The $800.00 plus dollars I spent already, appear to be wasted. If the shop was just guessing, I really wasted my money, because I could have done that. I might try your fix out of desperation. What do you think?

This is quite interesting. I just posted a thread in regards to my SC'd SVT cutting out due to the fuel pumps (yes two of them) shutting down or intermittently shutting down while driving.

Did you experience no start conditions only, or did your engine cut out while driving too? I have seen both conditions, one no start and two engine cut outs while driving.
