My A/C doesn't work at all,
even after I tried to refill the refrigerent.

When I check from the main fuse box for electric
cause, I focus on the relay for the A/C clutch.
I test with an ohmeter and found that one of the wire connected to this relay always gave me a flat
signal, even I switch on the A/C. From the electr.
diagram of Haynes, I feel that when I turn on the
A/C, the clutch should be engaged, so this wire
should be a positive signal(+12V), am I right??

when I connect the other wire of the relay to the
"+" head of the battery, I saw the clutch is engaged, and I can feel some cool(not cold) air.

btw: I always heard a 'click, click' noise from
under the hood whenever the engine is run.
At first, I guess maybe the timing chain
tensioner acts. But now I doubted maybe it
comes from the clutch, because when the
clutch is engaged, the noise disappeared.

Can you give me some suggestion or advice??

Thanks very much!!

Hi Jerry
There is a whole lot more switches, relays and etc. WOT relay, AC cycling switch on the accumulator, Dual pressure switch and the PCM have to all be in the correct mode before +12 v energizes the clutch. You sound ambitious and willing to learn. "PM" me your e-mail and I'll send you a couple of pages out of the Mitchell's Wire diagrams. I don't have the manuals but I made a couple of copies from my library. I'll scan them in if you like?
