hmm...some idiot recomended wd-40 for my cloudy, hazy, rough headlights, it worked, but only for 30 seconds, then they started to turn grayish yellow eek . on another note, some guy sanded down his headlamps with 600-900-1400-XXXXXX fine sandpaper until they were smooth and clear. however, i havn't done this 'cuase I've read that this will get rid of the film that prevents the plastic from turning yellow....in ricer forums some those goofs heat up thier lenses in the oven to make them clear confused eek ...stupid civics....

I'm not certain which head lamp style you have, but if it is the older style, maybe buying new ones at $60 apiece is a way to go. I bought some used for that price before I found this forum and the links here. The newer lights cost @ $100 each, making a 'fix'probably more palatable. Anyway, good luck. Best, Immarocker

I just picked up some "Blue Magic Plastic and Plexiglass Cleaner and Light Scratch Remover" at Pep Boys. It claims to "Clean and remove hairline scratches, and hazing from all plastic and plexiglass surfaces. Restores optic clarity and provides protecion with one simple application."

If it stops raining I'm going to give it a try.

Let us know if it works. I have a feeling that it will not do much.

If I was to go to a salvage yard, does anyone know if I would be able to just change out the lenses?

I used 1500 grit wet sandpaper & then polishing compound. They came out crystal clear.

I saw absolutely no "film" on the front of the lenses when doing this. Just plain plastic (polycarbonate/lexan/etc) lenses.
Some of my rock hits were too deep to get out and they still showed no signs of any "film" on the front of the lenses.
