I left work today, and I put the car in drive and released the break, but ther car didn't move on her own(I have an auto, idle speed should move the car) the rpm's were normal, and when I looked at the dash the O/D light was flashing.

I pulled out on the highway (4km from work to home) and when I pressed the accelerator the response was minimal, no power at all. I had to press it all the way to the floor to have any amount of pickup. I stoped at Canadian Tire for 5 min, when I came out and started the car everything was normal, the car was fine.

Does anyone have any idea of what happened? Or could I be one of those things that might not happed again.

Any thaughts would be great.....thanks.

There must be some diagnostic meaning to a flashing OD light... unfortunately I don't know what it is.
