yes you heard it right, I want 235/40/19's on my 19x8 Axis wheels damnit! Has anyone ran 235's on their Contour before and if so, what type of modifications did they have to do? I have a 2" drop all around with the 225/35/19's without any rubbing to speak of and I did not cut the stock perch or roll the fenders. I think running 235/40's would be pretty substantial in making 19's on a Contour more liveable for daily driving. naysayers be damned!

Yeah, if you had the widebody kit!

Bernie

(edit) I almost forgot who I was talking to about the widebody!

Terry the ride is really that bad? I think the 235/40R/19's would look good. I would also think that you would need the widebody kit or need to roll the fenders. I think you try it and see what happens

Aaron

P.S. I'm meeting up with JD(SVTJD98)on the 29th of June (this Sunday) in Windsor. My b-day is Monday and for my b-day my bro is buying me the Mirko Splitter so we are going to meet JD in Windsor and then hit the stripclub after. Let me know if you can make it. And I don't have my car back yet I don't get it back until July2nd or 3rd.

what r u trying to do. get a wider tire or more profile for 19s to make it a better daily driver.

a 35 makes me nervous. could u do a 225/40 or 235/35.

Good luck finding a decent 225/40/19 inch tire. If you do move to a 235/35 you will have to modify those fenders or you can raise the the car up a little. IMHO which is not a option for me.

Hydro, what do you find uncomfortable about the ride? I have two bent wheels up front and the ride is still okay for me right now...

Now I hate America? That is a new one to me.

I'd say 70% of the time I'm on decent roads with minimal, smaller bumps and fairly decent pavement. From that standpoint the ride is just fine and it's great to drive. The other 30% of the time I'll end up on patchy roads with uneven pavement with manhole covers sticking above the street 1-1.5" and potholes either filled or unfilled. For the most part it's liveable but if I could manage to get a slightly larger profile tire I think that would make things just good enough for me to not to cringe over Detroits wonderous concrete jungle. Also I'd like more tire protection to cover that precious Axis lip and get a little more traction.
