I've tried all of the obvious stuff like fuses, bulbs, etc. Is there more than one fuse besides the passenger and drivers side that controls the running lights? I read all of the previos post and this seems to be popular on 98 svt's, but the solutions posted in the archives haven't worked for me any ideas.

Fuse 33 7.5 amp interior fuse panel is the one that feeds driver's side parking lamps. Interchange with fuse 35 (pass side)as a doublecheck that fuse is ok.

There have been a few cases where members have found bad/loose connections at interior fuse panel. If you have voltmeter you might check for 12 volts at feed side terminal socket of fuse 33. Feed comes from headlight switch via R/BL wire. Same headlight switch contact also feeds pass side fuse with a R/BL wire. A different contact on switch feeds licence lamps via (believe it or not) another R/BL wire.

While my '97 had a headlight switch recall I don't believe my '98 did. Recall had to do with poor connections at switch overheating. FYI.

Alright I found the problem. The red/blue wire on the headlight switch connector had been cut by ford when they installed my alarm. Over time the wire worked its way loose since it wasn't insulated just twisted together. Thx horsey for your help
