Here's the story...just replaced the IAC (and gasket) myself a couple weeks ago because the valve was sticking open causing the engine to race up when shifting. Car drove fine for the past month.

Couple days ago, it started acting up again. This time, the engine doesn't race but the RPM will stay where ever I pushed the clutch in for 5 seconds...ie if I shifted at 3k RPM, the engine will stay at 3k for 5 full seconds, no exageration. When this is happening the idle will only drop to about 1200 RPM and will not go lower (my normal idle is about 750). This morning, the engine would bounce between 750 and 1200 while sitting at a stop light.

I haven't a clue what is causing this. Could it be that the computer needs to be reprogrammed? Reason why I think that might be the case...I reset the computer last night and it was fine right after that. It was this morning that it started to hang again and act abnormally. Could it be a bad IAC? Could a bad fuel pump or dirty fuel filter cause it? Any other suggestions? I really don't want to take it into the dealer because I'm sure they are going to say that is normal like they always do...or say they can't duplicate it. PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks a lot.
