Ok everyone, I have replaced to date the EGR Valve, and the EVR Solenoid, with an attempt to cure my CEL light for EGR flow insufficient. I recently cleaned my UIM, so I know all the passages should be good and clean. All the vacume hoses seem to be in good shape. Is my last possiblity the DPFE Module? Please help as my trip to Windsor is approaching fast!

Thanks

Chris Matthews

Have you been resetting PCM after each of these parts being replaced and allowing time to judge their effect?

p.s. What did test of EVR show, as per one of your other posts and my response, that required its replacement?

Have you been resetting the CEL after each adjustment? It won't go out by itself (at least not for 40 "clean" (i.e., no code thrown) engine cycles).

Here are some other possibilities:

- EVR is not receiving proper voltage (possibly from faulty wiring or loose connection)
- EGR orifice tube is clogged
- EGR orifice tube has vacuum leak (possibly from not being attached at the end points properly)
- PCM is malfunctioning

Did you get a new EGR gasket when you replaced the EGR? If not, then there might be a vacuum leak there.

I noticed that you also cleaned the UIM recently. Did you get new gaskets for it? It is possible that the UIM might have a vacuum leak if you did not install and seal it properly.

Hope this will help solve your problem.

P.S.: I have the same P0401 code that you have and it is one of the reasons why I have not started to replace parts yet (since I don't know where the real problem lies).
