I need my hood repainted and a few things touched up. Does anyone have any good expirience with any body shops in the Chicago suburbs? I'm in the Elgin area.

Theres one here on the north Side of the City that everyone seems to talk really good about. It's around Montrose and Austin I believe.

Springhill Auto Body in East Dundee is on Rt. 72 just west of Rt. 25, and is pretty close to the Elgin area. They did a very nice job of fixing my bumper after having been rear-ended last year. If you have them do it, tell them Justin from Springhill Ford sent you.

Thanks for the replies. I might do it through my insurance (State Farm) because my deductible will probably be cheaper than the actual cost. My deductible is $250 and the damage was caused while driving (an election sign flew up on I-55 and tore up my hood), so I might as well use it.

They recommended Joe Cotton Ford, Westgate Community Auto Body, and Selga in Carol Stream, also Auto Body Artists, Body Works, and Auto Collision Service in Streamwood.

Selga repainted my Eclipse front bumper in 2000 and it already looks like crap (spiderwebbing and cracking) and they drilled the license plate holes crooked after I told them not to drill holes at all.

Auto Body Artists just mounted my tirerack.com tires on the Contour 2 weeks ago. I'm Polish, but they seemed to have had a little Polish-only clique going that kinda put me off. Don't know about their painting/repair services. Took them almost 3 hours to install my tires...

Just thought I'd offer my expiriences with a few shops if anyone happens to do a search for these shops.

Thanks again!

Elmhurst Ford's body shop did a good job on my car.
