I recently got the dreaded 0174 CEL and have been shopping for O2 sensors. The Tour ones seem somewhat steep in price and I'm considering getting a universal and splicing it in. My research says that almost all 4-wire sensors are the same, just the plugs differ. Can anyone confirm this? If I can find a Bosch 4-wire for say a GM or Chrysler for cheap, can I just cut off the plugs and splice mine in? I can probably save half the cost this way. Thanks for any replies.

96LXV6 heavily un-modded due to family addition. 87Renault GTA convertible, chopped springs, Ford Premium Sound, but otherwise stock.
