Oh rightrightright...OK, the roadblock was probably 15-20 miles or so farther than Newcombs Ranch, then, still on Angeles Crest. Whatever, I'm sure they'll have it taken care of before then..

Nikolas,
when going down the 14, how far past Rally Chevy is the Angeles Crest road? Is it marked?

Yeah,

The Angeles Crest Turnoff is actually marked as Pearblossom Highway Exit off the 14.... Once you get off the freeway, you then make a right ont Pearblossom Highway, go down the road about 1/4 mile and make a left onto Angeles Forest Highway. (You will go under a small overpass right before the left turn lane to get onto Angeles Forest Highway).

I will make sure my Cougar is parked somewhere near the beginning of Angeles Forest, so you can easily spot me.

Mike Bandy,

Didnt you ride along with your dad the last time we took this cruise? The more cars the merrier as far as Im concerned. It should be a nice drive.

My wife and I will be at the start of Angeles Forest around 11am or so.. She will be in her 2003 Mazda6i. If we leave around 11:10 or so, we should make it down to the Sport Chalet in time....

I just wanted to bring this back to the top, seeing that the cruise is only 13 days away. I hope to see several Contours at this meet and other meets in the future.

See ya there,

Nikolas

Is anyone still going to meet me just outside of Palmdale to cruise on down to Sport Chalet? It looks like my wife will be making the drive in her Mazda6. So both her and I will be at Angeles Forest Highway, just off Pearblossom Highway...off the 14 freeway around 10:45am on Saturday. Meeting time is around Noon at Sport Chalet, and then leave Sport Chalet to head to Newcombs Ranch for some lunch.
