Holy crap! I did a photoshop to a silver frost car with the entire taillight assembly looking like what you have done. Looked intresting. Did you go all the way across onto the taillamps? I thought you were swapping decklids?

That looks fuggin sweet! The black definately makes the red stand out, and that Ford emblem looks great. I would have never thought to paint only a section of the rear reflector. Smart man!

Also, I can see you limping in the second picture... hope it gets better and those punks will get whats coming to them.

So far I've only painted the middle reflector, but I want to photoshop a few options on painted taillights before I go any further. These mods are to complete the all black look for now....

I'm still doing a pre-98 deck lid, but it's going to take a while before I can get the one Madic has and find an SE spoiler. I'm going to do a custom LED 3rd brake light that's mounted flush into the deck lid and paint over it (No primer over the LED's, or it won't shine through). That way you only see it when the brake lights are on, and when they go off it looks like nothings there at all

I just noticed my feet in the 2nd pic I have had people mention my feet in the last few pics I've posted as much as the things I've been taking the pictures of

Sure why not It's cake to do, so if you drive up it could be done really fast. If left in the reflector and masked around.......the paint drys really fast, so it could be done in less than an hour and a half.....and that'd be wet sanded to a high gloss too

Busted out some 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and wet sanded the back of the emblem until it was clear except for the lettering that's recessed into the emblem. Masked the front off with a few strips of tape and sprayed just the color on and it was done. Very easy mod. I went the extra step to make it look better and sanded up to 2000 grit on the face side and waxed it up for that glass like look
