Ok, I got all the parts for a tuneup, and the spark-plugs closer to the windshield seem like a pain in the rear to work with, so I would like to hear of how you guys did it,,,from pulling the cable out effectively, to which tool length is ok to use with enough space to operate to remove and install the new plugs,,,,IS there anything that needs to be removed to add space? of it just looks more cramped than it is?

BTW, its a 2.5 L Duratec...also, is one of y'all ignition cables laying on top of the engine, slowly cooking?

Here ya go...

Short of removing the upper intake manifold (UIM), this is the easiest method. If you remove/loosen the coil pack, make sure you re-connect the ground wire to the mount bolt on the pack. Also, make sure to use di-electric silicone compound on the plug tower/plugwire boot and anti-sieze lubricant on the plug threads.

Cheers! Art
