My CEL light came on again. This time the codes are 172,173,176,182 which all have to do with the oxegen sensors and rich or lean cylinders. In addition, I ran the KOER cylinder balance test, and found 4 out of 6 cylinders are reporting injector problems. My thinking is the whole problem may be injector related. Does injector cleaning fluid in the gas help this? Or do I need to take out the injectors and somehow clean them?

The easiest thing would be to try some FI cleaner in the gas tank for a couple of tanks and see what happens.

Pulling the fuel injectors, while not rocket science, is also not a casual job and you should have the necessary gaskets and o-rings on hand when you do it.

The cylinder balance test may not be pointing to bad injectors, it could indicate some ignition problems as well. When was the last time you changed the plugs or wires? How about the fuel filter, PCV valve & plumbing, UIM/LIM cleaning (there's a HowTo & would go along with pulling the fuel injectors)?

Try the easiest things first before you dive in a$$hole and elbows (not calling you an a$$hole ).

I changed the plugs last month. I had 1 bad wire & changed that one. The rest were changed at 70000 miles.
I am on my first tank of FI cleaner. I can try a few more, no hurry, I just passed inspection a few weeks ago. Never changed the fuel filter, probably worth doing. I changed the EGR valve last summer when I pulled the intake manifold & cleaned out the vaccum ports. Thanks for the guidance.
