The previous owner of my car put one of those sideways fish emblem things on the back of my 98 svt contour. What is that anyway? anyway, how can i remove it without scratching my car.

If its what I'm thinking of, its a Christian symbol. To remove it, I'd try the same procedure used to remove any other attached badge or ding strip: fishing line and goo gone. Floss it off with the fishing line, use the goo gone to remove the tape or glue left on the finish, then wash and wax.

GOO GONE is the best in my opinion. Id soak it and let it sit for a while, it should fall off. Does it say Jesus in the middle? (hehe)

Good advice! I still have cuts on my hands from installing a wheelskin steering wheel cover on my Miata 4 years ago!
