Anybody put a Mechanical Oil Pressure gauge in a A-Pillar pod as instead of an Electrical one? I have El Nite Glow gauges overlays and am concidering the FAZE by SunPro gauges. The mechanical gauges are 270 deg. sweep and the electrical are 90 deg., I like the 270's much better. Any problem routing the tubing down the pillar and out through the firewall?

I have a mech oil press gauge in my A-pillar but its not hooked up cause I am confused as f*ck on how or where to hook the hose up to! Also the idea of running oil up into the A-Pillar is kinda wierd I'm afraid that the plastic tubeing will crack and I'll have oil all over th interior. If I had it to do over I would def buy the electrical gauge instead. Thats my 2 cents!

i got my guage from autometer. Mechnical oil pressure. No its not hooked up yet. My work has a very fine tool to do presion cuts. Im mounting it where my dimmer (for dash light) is and relocating it somewhere (considering i leave it dark all the time) out of the way. Im cutting the plastic circle around where it used to be mounted. I have been told NOT to use the plastic tubing they give you. I also baught the copper tube for extended life of the tubing. I have yet too hook it up, im still in the process of mounting it. All i know its going to be a Bi*ch to connect with the "T" fitting on the back of the engine and run through the firewall. Let me know your outsome. I plan to purchase a pillar for smaller guages- (my 50 cent)
