ok i know there's a how to on the how to list and people have replaced the clock light by wiring 3 leds in series but has any one replaced interior light w/ leds without using resistors? if so how so?
any place there is a light bulb originally...you will need a resistor. There are also some LED's that when you replace them you will need a resistor case they are 12v. Only things you cna change without adding a resistor are the switch lights.

Quaife, lightened SVT Flywheel, SPEC stage II clutch, removed resonator, k&n drop in - various other goodies too.
I ordered some blue LED's online about 3 weeks ago.. I am almost done putting them in all of the switches.... all the door swithces (window and door locks) didn't require resistors, so i snipped the old pale green one's out then i soldered (spelling?) the blue ones in...... when i went to do that in the rear defrost it turned a pale white then burned out almost immediatly. For the defrost switch (as probably the t/c switch) I had to use a 1K Ohm resistor. I also got those big 5MM LED from Autozone, tapped into the window power supply and put them where the lights went in the 95-97 tours.... it looks frickin awesome.... if i ever get a camera i'll post some pics..... definitely worth the 2 weeks, $20 in gas to autozone and Radio Shack, 40 bucks for blue LED's online, and a crapload of labor!!!

I have some 3mm Blue LEDS needed for this mod. I and many other COugar owners have done it. These require nothing other then solding and the LED itself. Im asking $1 a piece shipped. email me if your interested. strictly_infamous@yahoo.com
ok i had no problem replacing the leds in the door locks and passenger window switches but can someone explain how to do it in the driver side master 4 button switches.
Yes, you have to use resisters; the door switches have them in there already.
When you take out the old ones look which way they are and put the blue one in the same way...
I did this about 3 weeks ago and two of them donā??t light up now, I took it out and tested it and it light up??? What happened did I screw up the wiring in my doors because of switching colors!!

how does the + and - go?
With the LEDs closest to you when you have the switch toward you, the positive always goes on the right. Then turn the switch around and postives still on the right.
