Does anyone in Atlanta/Duluth area want to make some cash, instead of the dealer?

my car has 93K miles (its a 99 Se Sport Duratec), and its starting to show hesitation on acceleration. I tried fuel injector cleaners to no avail...I got the car with 53K miles, and I have only done oil changes and air filter maintenance, mainly because its been running so smooth and my mileage has been consistently good, so I didnt wanna start a cycle of mechanics messing with my car...The car idles very smooth...

Any ideas if it could just be a need for tune-up ( i feel the fuel filter is the culprit), and if I buy all parts, who wants to give my tour a tuneup...

first thign first, u should get a obd2 scan, autozone does them for free if u have on in your area.

its one of the following

ignition coil, plug wires, plugs, dirty injectors, or fuel filter.

you can be in the same boat as me
but i figured it out the hardway. im positive its my injectors, i will be chagning them 2morrow, i hope for hte best.

I had a similar problem with my tour a little while back and it turned out to be a fuel pump on it's way! It kept throwing CELs until one day I couldn't handle it and brought it to ford. They automatically diagnoised it with a bad pump. Changed that and wow everything was good as game.

I was going to suggest the fuel filter. At only $6 it is worth a shot and probably needs changed any way. Changed mine last night BTW, didn't even have to jack the car up, even with SE sideskirts. 10 minute job, depending on how long it takes the car to die after removing the fuel pump fuse(#9 in the engine compartment fusebox on my 2000). I took her out last night, seemed to run a lot better(unless I was hallucinating from all the gas that came out of that thing) I change it every 15K. Good luck, hopefully that is it.
