I'd still go the BAT route because it's half the price for the same thing. By using the red tube on the TB cleaner can (similar to red tube on WD-40 for directing spray), and hold it right up against the sock, you can clean off all the crap, essentially making it almost as good as new.

Does the Tour use an electric or mechanical fuel pump? I was inquiring from my local shop and the guy asked the question because he has both. He thinks it's probably the electrical fuel pump.
