A Spacer is used on carbeurated applications to maintain or increase the velocity of the air/fuel mixture. Air comes screaming into the carb...then heavy fuel gets added, which slows it down. This is compounded when the now heavier and slower air/fuel mixture is dumped into a plenum. Net result is poorer filling of the combustion chamber, which isn't helped by a single intake valve.

On a FI car...the air isn't slowed down by fuel before it enters the plenum, and therefore the air velocity isn't effected as drastically. Notice that the injectors are just prior to the air entering into the combustion chambers, which results in less velocity loss and better filling of the combustion chamber.

Plus...even if you still want one...you'll need to extend the 4 screws which hold the TB on an additional inch, then also fab something to attach the Throttle/CC cable "plate".

I actually have one right here in front of me that I made 6 months ago out of aluminum...took all of 3 hours and about $2 worth of aluminum. You can have it for $69.99!!
