Thanks alot guys I appreciate the help!
So that straight RES. just sits in there at an angle with no modifications? Do you have to weld it? welding isn't a prob but clamping is just easier! Thanks again,
Jerry

Yup, no modifications. The angle looks exaggerated in the picture; it actually fits fairly straight/level. And get it welded! Its cheap, and you don't have to worry about leaks.

Dude..I knew what you were asking...and my response fits. I have...and others do to..have the exhaust pieces I listed for resonators. Just a different word for a muffler used to quell bad exhaust frequencies...A good muffler shop can make almost anything fit
I currently have the Edelbrock 5500 as my RESONATOR...
And my SVT exhaust in my garage has a magnaflow as a RESONATOR...

Magnaflow res aand mufflers together sound pretty damnned good imo. Very deep sounding at low rpms and not overly loud at high speeds. If I get a chance this weekend I'll make up a sound file of my car. (magnaflow res, mirror finish racing mufflers everything else stock)

How do you like the sounds with the Magnaflow resonator? I have a 3L, with MSDS headers a Y-pipe, but stock cat-back. I'm looking to reduce the backpressure, without a major (or none) noise increase.
Ideas? I'm thinking of getting a testpipe and Magnaflow resonator with otherwise stock SVT pipes and mufflers.

I've got the 2.5L with no MSDS and a bat y-pipe. I replaced the resonator and mufflers with magnaflows and I really like the sound, plus it was a whole lot cheaper than a whole cat back. I noticed a little gain in power and I really love the sound. No rasp, just a deep kinda growl. I don't know how much difference in sound it would be with the 3L and MSDS but for my setup it sounds pretty good.
