Hi,

Just picked up a BAT Euro Handling Kit, and am looking for a place in the GTA to get them installed. Don't want to pay through the nose, but want good, competent, honest work.

Anyone have a recommendation?

Thanks,

Massiv.

Did you order it from BAT directly? How much did you pay?

I got mine done at McGill Automotive
700 Burnamthorpe W.
@ Mavis, SW corner
Mississauga 905-897-2277.

He's done my car twice (Roush & BAT) and atleast 1 other CEG'er ... charges just $350, but be prepared to keep yourself busy for about 5 hrs - best to have someone pick you up and drop ya off.

Hey..

Yeah, I end up speaking with Chris @ CTA quite regularly actually. Normally asking for prices!

Ummm... Found a place that will do it for $275 (cash). Sounds quite organized... polite people... "administrative assistant" answering phone... They're at www.iactech.ca. Looks cool, might do it. Was thinking about doing it myself per an install doc pointed out to me on NECO, but apparently you need to recompress the spring to get it into the upright on install, and there's no room in the shock tower for a spring compressor... so people use "hack" means, and almost lose fingers and stuff. Not such a good idea I guess!

Ummm... the BAT kit is pretty cheap these days. $595US from BAT. @ current exchange of 1.359 (visa rate as of this writing) = $810CDN. Plus shipping, and brokerage fees and stuff.

I bought it from a guy that bought it new, but never installed it. Pointed out the rate, and got a cash deal for 8 bills.

So... from everyone's experience then, $275 is a good price and I should just bite and do it??

Done and done. The kit's going in this Saturday at IAC (www.iactech.com).

And I'm glad! I just put 17's on my car, and these wheels are HIGH! My bumper is oddly far from the ground. It's a slightly higher wheel than stock, but also has a really deep tread vs. my bald tires I junked. These are Nitto NeoGen's in 225/45/17 mounted on Konig Traffik's.

FYI,

The install went well, except they weren't done when they said they would be which kind of screwed up my schedule. But that's the automotive world for you.

BAT kit handles well. Especially with the new 17" Konig Traffik's and 225/45/17 Nitto NeoGens I put on it.

Only problem: They tore my CV boot during the install, and now I have to argue with them to get them to fix it. bah!

Like Morrissey said: For once in my life, let me, get what I want... lord knows it would be the first time.

Why can't this stuff ever go smoothly???
