Got a contour 99 SE 4 cylinder.

Here lately when i get in it in the morning and start it up. If I don't wait a few minutes for it to warm up (like I should) it almost dies. I'll start it put it into reverse and give it gas and it just hesitates. Hardly no throttle response. usually you have to bout floor it to get it to move. Now if i let it warm up it doesn't do it that bad. and it only does it in the morning. It's not that cold being from TN.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas? I know the obvious thing is to just let it warm up. But i don't want this to develop into something worse. I thought maybe a sensor going bad, but i'm not for sure. Sorry the post is so long.

Thanks in advance,
Brad

This sounds like a throttle position sensor problem or a MAF sensor problem.

Do searches on those to find out if you can test the components before you start replacing parts.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
