So this performance fords mount isn't completely solid from the looks of it? It appears to have one poly bushing in the big end. Not too bad.

The above one is the "Street Link" with a poly bushing for better drivability.

This is the track link with a solid end. Enjoy

Hmmm. Solid metal frame mount, Solid metal strut bar, aluminum tranny case ear. Wonder which one has the lowest failure limit...

I'd go with the Poly unit just to give the tranny case a bit of shock protection. This bar stops all engine rocking. That's a tremendous amount of force to just stop cold.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. The regular mounts allow way too much engine rotation and that bar would be the only thing stopping it. I think with inserts, poly filling and the poly bushing on that bar you could have a really tight setup. As it is right now I have no torque strut on my car but filled the anti-rotational mounts with inserts and poly and the engine rocks less than it did stock. The strut is in the way of the turbo piping so I had to delete it. Its on my to-do list to reposition the mount a little bit to be able to add it back on.

I have the poly version and it is just plain awesome, unbeleiveable hwo it ELIMINATED torque steer, going into a corner the car would dive in and go whatever direction it wanted to, now just point and push the gas and it goes, friggen awsome. There is some harshness at cold idle but that is because mine still isn't properly tuned at idle once she runs like glass you would never know the solid mount is in there.

I keep telling people to try it, but they act like Im crazy and no one does it. It works really well for me, glad to see it helped you.

Nice! Good to hear that it actually works. I was tempted to get a race link over the street link, but it's looking good that I chose the street link if it helps your SC'd 3L!

The reason I wouldn't get a heim joint on each end of the torque link is because the suspension I had on my Grand Cherokee had heim joints on all the upper and lower control arms front and rear and that was the LOUDEST, creeking, popping, and groaning suspension ON ROAD let alone off. I would bet the Drag link would make things way harsh.

Edit: ok, not a heim joint on one end, but it is a solid mount.......it'd still be too harsh for a street driven car IMO.....or guess more like it

Has anyone ever thought about radius arms for the lower control arm? With the right setup, they can pre-load the arms with some decent tension.......just an idea
